He hopes that this adventure of solitude will show this work to be improved upon as he has two questions regarding the city called Prosporo. These relate certainly to what is seen in this image:
This is the island which contains the two works of man known in coexistence rather then divide, as a result its people can practice the wizardries or the science without fear of being wrong in either. Infact the two are also used together and this is the third work called Chancarts.
These three works power the way of life in Prosporo, as firstly these three works are are the gateways to the arts. These three works provide these things for the city, which holds them dear.
- Magic provides the aid to the misfortuned who stumble upon new wealth and possibility.
- Science powers the cities infrastructure from its flying trams to its glowing walls.
- Chancarts provide an unmentioned part, the gates of all worlds and the way to other.
These three works are used in many ways and for Sam to better understand them, he goes to each of its texts and learns something from each of practice, which he then sets out to experience.
The first being magic, he learns that magic is a force of shorter and cheaper roots to ends which function with the will of the self, these allow for a person to gain something through less effort then scientific or economic roots.
He tries an experiement, where he seeks to gain a fruit to eat, but will not spend money to acquire it. As such he walks along the paths near the farms, into the woods over its ridge and find surely enough a berry bush, which was seeded by chance from the farms.
He then returns to the library, where he learns a little of its sciences, this he discovers is the root most used to invent an object in the city of prosporo, he learns that one uses the reality that exists to locate the parts required for an invention and then works within limitation to form the invention.
He tries to invent a small drone which can be controlled at short distances. He realizes the flying trams use air filled walls to fly and he realizes that if he does a similar thing with either helium or fire, he can build a small hovering object, which when tugged or blown floats in ones directed end.
He then returns yet again to the library and finds a peice on chancarts and the methods used for discovering new world, which often come about in chance and reality, which can then be built outside the city, through the gate of worlds atop the mountain of Prosporo.
He tries a walk, inspired he thinks he is in a place where the trees are flowers and the sky is electric, he sees that the birds swim through the thunder and that man is able to enter the collumns of these batteries to charge them. While being able to live in harmony with the thunder above, that passes.
He realized that all of these, within his limited context are novel and he understands that these powers provide a method for doing many things mankind wants, he wants to know however what these things can do in congruence and in the relation to the towers and gate, which hold the keys to these powers in another way. As both the witches well and Beacon are ancient, left by the time past and left to only knowledge of what they do. The gate uncovered recently is far more efficient then death as a means of world travel.
These he understands relate in power to the chancarts and the other two feilds ( Magic and Science ) which while not understood how, provide the purposes of Healing, Time Travel and World Travel all and only through these three compounds of the world.
Thus Sam wants to discover the nature of the relics which have left the city still in wonder as to how these things function and how they work within powers that seem weaker then all three. These are his quest and this he hopes to figure out as soon as possible.
He knows all three use all three feilds in a different manner to attain the ends they create, but he doesn't know what those manners are. They are so advanced and so ancient that no knowledge is known of their function while being still places used by people.
Witch's Well
He knows that the witches well is able to heal any ill or wound, this he presumes is due to scientific works of matter, which he beleives are likely built from both medication of absolute compatibility and most guaranteed vaccination of these same ills. Meaning this pool of orange liquid cures in ingestion the ills of people from its medicins, blended with vacinnes and vitamines of which it is most healthy and most perfected.
He has more trouble with wounds, presuming some manner of chance or magic in its numbing and pinpointing of the exact nature of the wound, which when found by body is then enticed to heal by proximity of required rescource found in the liquid itself. He presumes that the liquid allows a fast retrieval of the required anti bacterial and nutrients needed for repair in its own fluid and this cures quickly the person of damage. He knows further that in cases of death, this fluid may be able to heal the body and in more curiousity, restart it as it begins to decompose where its fluid provides a life line for the cells while the body cannot gather oxygen on its own.
He assumes these things but knows only that these are directions of its replication to be experimented with by a wiser man in the knowledge of organisms and human body. He advises these things be done as they could far better help people. A fluid which cures on contact and medicates on ingestion could verywell provide a benefit.
He adds that the substance, which provides deeply the nature seeking a unification of bacterial weakness and aid, in a manner that would either heal the person, or distract the bacteria which given a plentity of their own requirements feed of this instead of the body.
This could infact be of great use in helping the world if the exact same substance could be replicated outside the well which is natural and thus must be gathered in time and cannot be elivered swiftly to long distances. Likely sources of knowledge could be plants themselves.
He adds further the nature of chancarts in this measure, which he presumes are born from the method of entry by the fluid and the reactions it would provide in those entries in the body, which dependent result in what would be expected to be perfected nature. These things are potential, in natural and artificial cures blended into an elixir which could be then handed to any person who is in need.
It would be built from those medicins healthy, those nutrients distracting and those additional properties which further increase in compatibility the health of the person who recieves it.
Beacon
This one he is more likely to have difficulty finding a method, because it relates to time, which often moves only in one direction and cannot be turned backwards except in motion which must be in technicallity matched to the past. This he realizes is the answer, when he notes to domed roof of the beacon, and states simply:
This is recording all events on Prosporo, the vat in the beacon merely sends someone to an artificial space where inputted branches of possibility are emulated to near perfection by its logic systems and gathered recordings of individuals personality and speech patterns.
But further he realizes the known fact that the Beacon can only send things back in time, for a time and yet lacks the explaination of how exactly it could then effect future events upon return, if these were left to virtual spaces and were not somehow connected in chances and chancart to the full of the city.
Still this would seem to suggest that a person killed in the past would be required to not exist on return when reentered after falling from the future and this would seem to be required, if only a person could actually change time in this manner. it's only likely possibility then is a seeming oddity, that those who return from the time machine never return at all and are somehow living in an alternate timeline of perception on return.
Or the Beacon is actively changing all chancarts and chances of the reality each time someone enters it and this is done without our knowledge as it would be predicted that those who leave and return claim difference but we recall no difference. Implying that this conundrum is far deeper. Sam thinks that perhaps magic is used, wich when past changed, leads to past chance rewritten on return, if fate would have it. This seems wisest as it resolves most paradoxes.
Still Sam wonders how this could in turn have saved the people in that event known as the fall, which lead to this time where Malum and Caven exist and are controlled. This would imply atleast a chacart effect taking place between the virtual time and the real one.
He tries to draw a model of this theory:
This depicts the full of the timeline of the history of Prosporo, which the Beacon records and which the entry allows travel to, which while not the real timeline has an appearent ending where the city of Prosporo is miraculously saved. This is when Sam realizes what is actually taking place.
It isn't a time machine as would be expected, rather it records all passing events in the world around it and keeps them stored in what is likely blocks, these blocks can be arranged by the beacon into any time real or false which create plotted lines of temporal reality, while the real timeline is unnafected and never falls.
This means that while events of Malum do occure in Prosporo and are recorded, they are never to the degree of full, which exists inside the beacon as a seperate space and further modification of the timelines settings allow travel to any period of all recorded time, by the interface of the machine.
This means Dan never causes Prosporo to fall, except inside the beacon, because Malum was already present as a part of life, before he could ever hope to release it. This means history of Prosporo in reality is only what is written on this blog, and the past work called the Fall of Prosporo, takes place in an altered timeline built from recordings of various events where Malum or Caven did occure.
This means the state of Prosporo is in perfect balance and not in disarray as it appears in the stories before, rather it cannot fall for existing as it does today and yesterday with each progressive and constrained advancement, solving itself. Meaning if an event unsavory occures it is quickly solved by the requirement of people to solve issues.
In other cases it is likely these altered timelines exist within the whole geometry of the entirety and are merely isolated by the individual when using the beacon. Thus while no change occures to actual reality, the result always ends as satisfactory to fate, which allows other lines inside itself.
Gateway
The gateway was recovered after being buried under snow for thousands of years and provides a quick entry into other dimensions at an efficient rate which is unlike that of prior attempts with only chancarts, its nature however is peculiar for being atop a mountain and thus has no real hidden passage to other places.
Rather one simply enters it and arrives at the destination they seeked. Likely it is partially based off the chancarts in ordered chaos, but would naturally also require just chance and science alone to attain something of this kind.
Sam is uncertain how a doorway can fold timespace and arrive at places like Hearthanat or Avondale, as depicted in this drawing of Prosporo:
This map shows both the altered timeline and the recalled timeline on the other end, however it fails to show what Sam presumes is a method to access each of these worlds only accessible by gateway. This is however the easiest of the works to attain, because it merely requires knowing what to look for in the entirety to then be matched with the reality in question.
The entirety, is all realities folded into one that is called Aerth, the whole of its existence exists in its maximum form while most are oblivious to the other worlds unless they have seen enough to begin locating others. This is the mountain, which when entering its peak results in the entry to another landscape either recognized or unknown.
While chancarts can be used to locate essential descriptions of worlds, they do not provide the essential features of that world wich must be further understood through the gateway, which uses diverse sprays and diverse interpretations to arrive at different destinations in all existence.
This is likely how a person can use the gateway with no path, as it exists in mind rather then reality and only some know how to access it, if they thrive to find its methods, Prosporo and the greater Aerth exist in the Entirety, which is not discounting earth, which is the basis most are familiar with.
Aerth is the macroverse above the earth that one must travel to and this is the most tedious of works, even when most can recognize the difference of Fana and Rael, they often fail to realize they are compatible and this realisation is the first step to other worlds.
This then, provides the essential tools which Sam has recovered and is now able at any time, to locate cures for his ill, timelines unseen and spaces which are not known. These he hopes to oneday use to reach eclia's larger parts, but this will only occure later on, in this blog.
